We live within walking distance, but would not think twice about driving an hour to eat here. Food is outstanding!

We just ate at my Thai for the second time in the past month. Both times we have visited on a Friday night. I would suggest reservations if you're with a large party, as this seems to be a popular place. It's not surprising that it's gaining popularity, as the ambiance, food, and service are all great! So far we've ordered the Phad Thai with Chicken, Phad Thai with Pork, Green Curry with Eggplant & Chicken, Phad Basil, and Calamari as entrées. None have been disappointments. In fact, all have been fantastic! While you wait for your entrée to be prepared you will be served a small cabbage salad in a ginger dressing. This salad is delicious! Even my 2 1/2 year old loves it, never leaving a single piece of cabbage in his bowl! We had a party of 10 tonight and forgot to ask the waiter to split the bill when we placed our orders. He graciously split it at the end of the meal. This was no easy task, as they do not use computers to create their bills. He had to get out a calculator and recalculate each bill. We told him he didn't have to, but he did it anyway! Fantastic service! I feel badly that I do not recall his name... Oh, they have two types of ice cream: Mango and Coconut. Both are so yummy! Very flavorful! I think they make the ice cream there, but I'm not positive. Anyway, we'll definitely be returning to My Thai again!

I never was a fan of Thai food - until I ate here. The waiter was very helpful when it came time to order as I was unfamiliar with many of the menu items. I described what I liked and he delivered a wonderful plate of tofu green curry. I've since discovered the lunch buffet offered on Wed-Fri. This is a great way to sample dishes. Moderately priced. Very nice staff. Clean restaurant but not much in the way of eye candy.

Well, I wanted to like this place but have been disappointed every time I've been there. My husband likes it but he always orders a curry dish. I mean, I can make an authentic tasting curry at home. I'm not an expert in Thai cuisine by any means. But I have been to Thailand, took a cooking class there, and have been to LOTS of Thai restaurants in the USA and Asia to compare this to. I found the food just okay. The stir fry and noodle dishes seemed way too oily and lacked flavor. If I order basil chicken I expect to taste Thai Basil and not a cheap cooking oil. I'm also not a fan of the cabbage salad, but that's just preference. I would rather have a ginger dressing than a peanut one. Perhaps I've ordered the wrong things. I'll have to go to the buffet to try a variety of their dishes and update my review. For now, I'll stick with Bangkok Thai in Callaway.

The Husband and just got back from My Thai, wow what a disappointment. I had the Basil Chicken, which was lacking on the flavor, and the spice (I ordered Medium) was well........SPICELESS. I wont be back. For great thai food I would suggest Oishi at the beach, or Bangkok in Callaway.

Flavor and heat or too completely different tastes. My Thai doesn't realize that. Making it hot as he!! doesn't make it good. I do understand that that some like hot food, but others do not. Balance your buffet to match that idea. Our lunch crowd quit going here because of the lack of non super jacked up spicy food!

Good food! We really enjoyed our meal with red curry. They use fresh basil and lime leaves too. Yummy. Nice folks.

Though this isn't authentic Thai food, it is still quite good. The place is clean and the service is good.

I was there it was quick and it wasn't half bad. Don't get too wrapped around the axle here it's better than mediocre but falls short of that true Thai appeal. I guess once you've had the real deal its hard to find a comparison.

This is by far one of my favorite Thai restaurants I have ever visited. After moving here from a larger city, I was afraid I wouldn't be able to find an adequate Thai restaurant. I now live down the street from the best Thai food in Panama City/Bay County. The staff are super friendly (Hi Heidi!). The atmosphere is cool and intimate. I get takeout almost once a week since I have small children at home. We've had a bit of everything on the menu and everything is delicious. When they have Grouper curries (on their daily specials), I would highly suggest those. I keep coming back for their Tofu Pad Thai and Tom Kha. If you love Thai food, come to the Cove and try it. You will not be disappointed!

Love the pad Thai. It's a little on the pricey side, but the service is friendly and food is hot. Love this little dive!

I have been a regular at this place for a couple of months now and always order the Chicken Pad Thai. Definitely my go to spot for a meal that I know will never let me down.

Massaman curry and the yellow curry were very good! The waitress Rose was really sweet. The prices weren't bad. I've heard the Pad Thai is good, so I think I'll order that next time. Small restaurant in a cozy neighborhood.

I always order the shrimp egg foo young. Friendly service, nice atmosphere for date night with my hubby.

One of my favorite restaurants in bay county. Lunch buffet for $8, can't get any better. Good beer, good food, good service. Lovely environment, fresh ingredients, good prices. I really enjoy the cabbage salad with peanut slaw that they serve before the meal, simple but delicious. I tend to start with the potstickers and summer rolls, then either order the vegetable green curry, or pineapple shrimp fried rice for my entree. and after i thoroughly enjoy that, i manage to squeeze in some of their homemade ice cream, mango or coconut. coconut is my favorite, and they serve it with two pirouettes. Mmm, always a treat. (: Great alone or with friends!

Excellent spice...i've had the red curry 3 times now and its always fantastic. We also ordered the green curry, pineapple fried rice, pad woon noodles, and a black pepper chicken. Delicious! The appetizers were ok-satay and summer rolls. Service was good, but not as authentic when its not thai servers. I would imagine the cooks are thai, since the flavor is very good. Ambience is so-so...borderline hole in the wall. Well priced for the amt of food received.

First and foremost, My Thai is a family owned and run restaurant. Second off, the chef is FROM Thailand. Third off, all I have to say is WOW! I was lucky enough to live in the Washington DC area before moving a bit west to the quiet comfort of the Shenandoah Valley and I became very familiar with ethnic cuisine including Thai. I have had good Thai and I've had REALLY BAD Thai. This ranks in the TOP 2 as far as quality, price and store environs. While My Thai is a bit off the beaten path, especially for people over on the beaches, it's well worth the extra 20 minutes. Skip Jasmine(in my opinion the most pedestrian Thai I've ever eaten...catering to a non-Thai eating crowd) and go over to My Thai. We had the summer rolls, the pan-fried dumplings(I know..more Chinese than Thai but they were made in house) and we both had Pad Thai. The chef uses a classic white base (rather than a red base) for his pad thai which was perfectly acceptable to me. I caution you on their heat scale. Their "american hot" is most places "thai hot". So, if you dont want it hot, don't be all tough and order the thai hot. You will get heat!!!! While we were there another table had ordered the thai hot thinking they were going to get "some heat" and ended up saying it was too hot. LOL amateurs....LOL Our server was great, he was the chef's brother in law. Very attentive, very knowledgeable and quite easy to chat with. "Best Thai in Panama City"

I had takeout yesterday and the place was packed. I ordered the chicken satay and the crab rangoon. I waited approx 15-20 minutes before my food was ready. The crab rangoon was okay but I have had better. The chicken satay were big pieces but they were bland and had no taste. The lady at the counter did apologize for the wait and they were very busy. It is a small place.

Yummy. I moved here from a major metro area and this is the best place for real Thai. I can't think of anything bad to say. Service is fast, food is fresh cooked, not fast food or frozen BS, loved by locals, prices are affordable and reasonable, staff are wonderful and it is way off the beaten path so you are almost always guarantee a table.

This place makes me miss Nuna's that was off 79. =( Much better food and a different vibe altogether. Nuna's you were family. Here, you are the forgotten table in the corner.

Pretty good! The restaurant's location is out of the way and the signage is subtle, but it's worth seeking out. My party had the red curry, Singapore noodles with tofu, and the vegetables with brown sauce. The latter was the only one I didn't enjoy all that much, there was some really hot pepper sauteed in there which brought the spice level way up from the "medium" I requested...but with lots of water and a bottle of beer I was able to get it down! Everything was fresh tasting and the service was friendly. Atmosphere is not bad either, but no comparison to Jazmine on Thomas Drive. (Actually, I'd rather go there if I happen to be on that side of the bridge, but I live in town)

Not being well versed in Thai food, I can only give them 5 stars because the food was really good! Service was great, our waitress was very attentive and very helpful as I always ask the servers favorite menu item when ordering from a new place. The summer rolls were very fresh, crisp and flavorful. The entree special was fresh gulf shrimp in a coconut sauce with asparagus, so good I could have poured the sauce in a glass and drank it. The other entree we ordered was a Pad Thai with pork. The spice was just right and the food very fresh and tender. I would recommend My Thai to anyone. The location is a bit remote but well worth it even for tourists who are staying at the beach. We will be back to My Thai.

Very disappointed with my visit to this restaurant. The food wasn't that great and it's overpriced. The quality of the food wasn't that great either. If your looking for Thai food, this isn't the place. I would not recommend nor visit again.

My favorite restaurant in Panama City! The food is authentic and delicious!

Local folks, local place AWESOME food. Don't come for atmosphere, but the food is worth every penny. The summer rolls are divine. I've never had a bad meal here, and we've eaten in and taken out too many times to count. The best deal is the lunch buffet. All you care to eat for a low, low price. A great way to try different menu items.

I just opened up Yelp to look at another place to eat and the review from Will A. from DC popped up and I couldn't agree with him more. Being retired military and traveling extensively and eating my way through the places I find My Thai Asian Bistro to be TOPS. We saw it advertised during some Sunday football game in January and just had to look it up and glad we did. It is off the beaten path, but then again most excellent restaurants. We live in South Walton County and it is about 30 minutes away, depending on the season. We have now been twice and the food just keeps getting better and better. There is a buffet Tuesday through Friday and it is exceptional. They put small amounts out and keep everything as fresh as if it were served only to your table. We have tried things that we would never have ordered and all have been tasty. The Pad Thai is truly wonderful. Green Curry Chicken could not have been better and yes, they do use a bit of heat which makes it taste even better. They use only the freshest organic foods to be found. So the buffet changes daily and sometimes during the day! The chef makes a delicious hot pepper sauce that is out of this world. It changes depending on the peppers in his garden. It is HOT but addictive. The staff is there to help and keep things moving. They are so very pleasantand make you feel like you are at home. I wish I could give this My Thai 6 STARS.
